How much do Bay Area nannies make
per hour?
Nannies in the Bay Area usually make anywhere from $13-20+ per hour.
For highly qualified, fully screened Bay SuperSitters nannies, expect
rates of $14-16+/hour for one child, $16-18+/hour for 2 children,
$17-19+/hour for three, etc. (these rates reflect take home
pay). Rates are negotiable directly between the parent and the
nannies, but nanny jobs offering less than $13/hour take home pay will
not be accepted.
What is Trustline?
Trustline is a state-run criminal background check on child-care
providers, utilizing fingerprinting and the California Department of
Justice and FBI records. All Bay SuperSitters nannies are Trustlined
upon being hired for part time or full time nanny placement. You
can learn more about Trustline at www.trustline.org, or by calling
